Alan Hirsch, Founder of Forge Mission Training Network
Alan Hirsch is the Founder of Forge Mission Training Network. Currently he co-leads Future Travelers, an innovative learning program helping megachurches become missional movements. Known for his innovative approach to mission, Alan is considered to be a thought-leader and key mission strategist for churches across the Western world.
Deb Hirsch is a speaker, church leader, and writer. She has led churches in both Australia and Los Angeles. She is one of the founders of Forge Mission Training Network and a current member of the Forge America national team. She also serves as a board member for Missio Alliance. She co-authored (with Alan Hirsch) Untamed: Reactivating a Missional Form of Discipleship. Her book Redeeming Sex reflects something of her own journey and attempts to bring new conversations around sexuality into the context of the church. Deb has been involved in social work, community development and as a trained counselor has worked in the field of sexuality for over twenty-five years. She and her husband live in community with others in Los Angeles.
Michael Frost is an internationally recognized Australian missiologist and one of the leading voices in the international missional church movement. His books are required reading in colleges and seminaries around the world and he is much sought after as an international conference speaker. Frost is the Vice Principal of Morling College and the founding Director of the Tinsley Institute, a mission study centre located at Morling College in Sydney, Australia. He is the author or editor of twelve popular Christian books, the most recent of which are the highly successful and award-winning The Shaping of Things to Come (2003, co-authored with colleague Alan Hirsch), Exiles (2006) and Re:Jesus (2009).
Hugh Halter is a church planter, pastor, consultant, and missionary to the US. He is the U.S. Director of FORGE America, an apprenticing community committed to train men and women to live as missionaries where they already are. He is author of The Tangible Kingdom, AND...the Gathered & Scattered Church, TK Primer, BiVO, Sacrilege, FLESH and Brimstone. Hugh speaks extensively around the world to laity and leaders. He is an advocate for disoriented God seekers and loves to inspire and re-orient leaders around incarnational mission in any form of church.
Laura is a wife, mom and missional practitioner. She is the Executive Director of Forge America who trains men and women to live as missionaries where they're already doing life.Laura lives in a North Dallas suburb with her husband, Ryan and 3 girls. Her heartbeat is for every follower of Jesus to join God in his mission where they live, work, and play.
Ryan, his wife Laura, and their three girls live in the North Dallas suburb of Frisco, Texas. Ryan and Laura lead a neighborhood church and together, and they long to see their neighborhood look more and more like the Kingdom of God. Ryan also serves as the National Director of Forge America. Forge is missionary training organization that helps equip everyday Jesus followers join God in His redemptive mission in the places they're already doing life.
Brad is currently the Director of Bivocational Church Planting for the North American Mission Board. He holds a doctorate in the area of missional ecclesiology; his doctoral thesis was on assisting existing congregations in transitioning in a missional direction. He also serves on the National Leadership team for Forge America Mission Training Network. Brad is the co-author of Missional Essentials, a twelve-week small group study guide, The Missional Quest: Becoming a Church of the Long Run, and Next Door As It Is In Heaven. He and his wife have three children and have been foster parents to more than fifty other kids. He blogs regularly at missionalchurchnetwork.com.
Jon Ritner serves as Lead Pastor of Ecclesia Hollywood and Director of Forge Hollywood. Jon pastored for 10 years in a "mega church" in Williamsburg, Virginia before moving on to plant "micro churches" in Brussels, Belgium. Today, Jon trains men and women how to join God's redemptive mission and participate in ushering in of God's Kingdom in Hollywood. We get to tell the story of Jesus to the city that tells stories to the world. Jon and his wife of 15 years, Kristyn, have two children.
